How to Prepare for Your Maternity Session by Tracie Jean Photo Voted Cincinnati's Best Maternity Photographer

We’re so excited to work with you on your maternity session! Congratulations on choosing Tracie Jean Photo Studios, one of the Cincinnati areas most celebrated and decorated photographers. This blog will give you all the information you need to be fully prepared to have an amazing experience at your maternity session.

Tracie Jean Photo Studios is located at 424 Findlay Street Suite 4a, Cincinnati, Ohio 45214. When you arrive at the studio please pull into the gated lot and head toward the rear of the lot near the red awning. Next to the awning you will find a buzzer system with a list of the studios in the building, please buzz Tracie Jean Photo and we will bring the elevator down to get you. Please arrive as close to your session time as possible we will be together for about two hours.

  1. During your maternity session you’ll have full access to all of the gowns, crowns and tossing fabrics. Please bring nude bra and panty (or as close to skin color as possible) to your session.

  2. Please fully hydrate the day before your session. Your skin will be glowing and you will feel much more energized and ready to enjoy your session!

  3. Bring any accessories that you would like to use during your maternity session (shoes, jewelry, etc).

  4. Avoid using oils or lotions on your belly. While lotions and oils are awesome for stretch marks, we will be using professional lighting on your session and moisturizers create glare on the skin.

  5. If you included a milk bath in your package during your studio time, please plan for an extra 1/2 hour and bring an extra bra and panty set so that you have a dry set to wear home.

  6. If you’re including any of your children in your session, we recommend having them arrive during the last 1/2 hour of your session.

  7. If your significant other will be participating in your session, we recommend neutral colors. Khakis, jean, grey or black slacks with neutral dress tops are perfect to pair with all of our designer gowns.

  8. Unless you have scheduled hair and makeup with our artists, please come ready to begin your session with your hair and makeup complete.

You will leave the studio feeling like a goddess and we are so excited to be a part of this journey with you! If you have any questions please reach out via email at tracie@traciejeanphoto.com
